Carolyn grew up in Carlyle and recalls riding her bike to the library with her siblings as a child. She is married and has two children with her husband and a step-daughter. Before she began working at the library in March of 2013, she worked at CVS (also in Carlyle) for 14 years. Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family, watching old TV series, movies based on true stories, and reading. Her favorite genres are non-fiction and historical fiction. She likes pretty much anything that is inspirational and has good humor. Some of her favorite authors are Richard Paul Evans, Mitch Albom, and Bill Bryson.
Karen has lived in Carlyle most of her life. She has been married for 47 years and has 5 children, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Karen retired after working for 23 years in Belleville for FKG Oil Co. She has worked at the library May of 2011 and loves to read mysteries, especially Iris Johannsen, and sleeping in.
Tonya Foster lives in Carlyle. She is married and has two beautiful daughters and two pets. Tonya works as a kindergarten paraprofessional for Centralia city schools and has been working for the Case-Halstead Public Library since December, 2015. She enjoys reading the numerous cookbooks and DIY books that the library offers. In her time off, Tonya enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and taking trips to St. Louis.
Stacy has 3 children and works as a cook at the Carlyle Jr. High School and is an Associate at the Case-Halstead Library. She started working at Case-Halstead in Oct. 2011. She and her children enjoy reading books from the Children’s section at the Library and she enjoys reading the various cookbooks available to her through the library system. When she’s not working she enjoys being with her children and going to their sports events. She also enjoy cooking and working in her yard.
Hi, my name is Tona Holle and I have been employed at the Case-Halstead Public Library since 2012. I’m married and have two children. I enjoy reading romance novels in my spare time.
Barb was born and raised in Centralia and has been working at the library since 2007. She went to work for Illinois Bell as an operator during her senior year in high school. In 1990 when AT&T closed in Centralia she and her husband Bill moved to Carlyle since she was then working in Collinsville but her husband worked in Centralia. They soon closed the Collinsville office and she transferred to St Louis, retiring as a Communications Technician after 33 years with AT&T. She enjoys reading, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her two granddaughters. She enjoys working at the library and meeting new people.
