The library has something for everyone. Besides books we offer many great services to help patrons with whatever they need. Some of the services provided at the library include Circulation services, interlibrary loan, computer services, online databases, and reference help for adults, teens, and children. The library also provides many programs throughout the year to educate and entertain.
Many different types of materials are
available for checkout at the library:
There are many different services that the library offers to card holders and anyone wishing to use library resources.
• Large print books
• DVDs & videos
• Music CDs
• Books on CD, cassette, and MP3
Fax service, a public copier, and tax forms also available.
If an item you want is not in the Lewis & Clark catalog stop by or call the circulation desk to complete an interlibrary loan request. We will try and obtain the item through a statewide and/or nationwide search. There is no charge for this service.
Computers with Microsoft Office 2010 and internet service are available for public use at the front of the library. Sign in to use these computers at the circulation desk. There is also a child friendly computer located in the children’s room for patrons under the age of 12
Wireless access is also available-A password is not needed.
A Patron Access Computer to search the Lewis & Clark catalog is located in front of the circulation desk.
Legal Self Help Database:
Each of the library computers have quick links to the Illinois Legal Self Help Center where patrons can find information on basic legal matters.
Youth and Teen Services:
Be sure and check the calendar for children’s and teen programming, as well as storytime hours.
Special Delivery Bags– Need something for children while they are sick or visiting? Let us create a personalized bag of fun with books, movies, and activity sheets! To request a bag, fill out our Special Delivery Bag form, call the library at 594-5210, or send us an email at email@example.com. Give us 24 hours to put your bag together & we’ll contact you when it is ready. All materials are due back 3 weeks from checkout. This service is available to Case-Halstead Public Library patrons only.
